I have bgg triplets born in 1999 and three more boys born in 2002, 2006, and 2008, the last two by VBA2C (vaginal birth after 2 cesareans). My triplets were born at 26 weeks. My singletons were all full-term and fully breastfed. We have raised our triplets with no help and with a blind father. One of our triplets is also disabled with mild CP and mild autism, two have some vision problems, and one has had lung issues since birth.

Question
Hi my name is megan and I'm 23 i have pcos and having been trying to conceive for a year. I have been on metformin since last June and started my first round of clomid march 6th.my questions is do women with pcos that take clomid conceive often and if so is there anyway to boost my chances of having twins? i think i might be having a reaction from the clomid for the last 5 days i have had brown spotting is that normal does it lessen my chances of getting pregnant? thank you for your time.
Hoping for a miracle megan

Answer
If you are already on metformin, you should certainly have an excellent chance of conceiving while on clomid.  Your chances of twins already are increased to about 5-15% when taking clomid.  Taking clomid while on metformin (which, when used properly, should restore your fertility by itself) will likely increase those odds even further.  You don't say how long ago you took the clomid, what your dose or length of treatment was, so it's hard to say what might be causing your spotting.  You should follow up with your doctor.
