Some examples of transnational crime are international drug smuggling and money laundering.
International drug smuggling mainly occurs between South America, through Mexico, and into the US, and it's perpetrated by South American drug cartels, and Mexican gangs.
Money laundering occurs throughout the world, but for example European banks are often involved because of their strict privacy controls. Once again, organized crime, such as the Russian Mafia, is typically involved.
