What were the reasons which led both the Wold Wars viz World War 1 and World War 2 ?.

Can you attribute the reasons / causes for the World Wars as Hatred, Jealousy, Power, Greed ?

World War I
1.  Desire for colonies around the world
2.  Failure of peace conferences to establish peaceful relations between countries
3.  Growing militarism among certain countries
4.  Competitive demand for raw materials during the second industrial revolution
5.  Assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria by a Serbian nationalist
6.  Entangling alliances that forced countries to defend the honor of their allies

World War II
1.  Greed on the part of Germany and Japan to take over weaker countries
2.  Fear of retaliation led to the attack on Pearl Harbor
3.  Desire for colonies around the world
4.  Rise of dictatorships in Europe and Asia
