Should the United States be the World's Police? Why or why not?

Hi Courtney,

I can only offer my opinion here, and it is this: No, I don't think that the US should be the world's police because 1) we lack the resources to do so effectively 2) when we try to do so, it doesn't work out very well (Vietnam, Second Persian Gulf War, etc.) 3) because American interventionism is so resented by so many countries, it causes more problems then it solves.

I hope that helps!
