Question
Hello, this is Lee again. We were talking about the middle east and me considering joining the Army. I tried to ask another follow question, but was told I had asked too many. Yes, please elaborate on the military funding depending on the president. So, you really think the next president will have that much of an affect on my military career? Talk to you soon and thanks.

Answer
Well under Ronald Reagan, the military budget was increased and the military was expanded... The military bought new tanks, planes, weapons...

Under bill Clinton the military budget was cut and no new tanks, planes, or weapons were bought... If it wasn't for Ronald Reagan building the military we would not have been able to defend ourselves after 9/11...

However, one of the very first things George Bush II did when he came in office was give the military a pay raise and and expand the military budget.

Furthermore, the Democrats in congress always vote against funding the war in Iraq... EVEN THOUGH THEY VOTED FOR THE WAR...

So the Dems will send the troops to war but will then vote against funding them..

I wouldn't join the military with a Democrat as President if I was paid by the second...

You recruiter just wants you to sign the paper, I dont have any motives... Listen to what I am telling you.

Also, if you join strongly consider the NAVY
