U.S. Politics/Party Number.

Question
I am having issue finding the number of people registered with certain political parties. I keep getting percentages and various "leanings" or "offilations" and other terms that may not refer to who is registered as what. Where can I find the real numbers? Democrats, republicans, independents, green party, libertarian, and whatever else is out there.

Answer
Hi James,

Surprisingly, despite trying multiple sources, the latest information is from 2004. Nevertheless, this is what's available:

I would speculate that the registered numbers for each party have grown since 2004, so it's safe to say that the numbers listed in the source above are a minimum figure. It's very unexpected that updated data isn't available! But I hope this is helpful.
