Question
I am new to the arena of U.S. Politics and would like to learn as much about it as possible. The structure of the government, who has the authority to do what, democratic vs republican beleifs, etc. What is an unbiased website I can go to to research all of this information?

Answer
Hi Jon,

I'll be glad to help with you question.

Here is a website produced by the US government which offers a clear guide to the basic features and functions of the US government:

http://usinfo.state.gov/products/pubs/outusgov/homepage.htm

Here is a website developed at a university which provides an accurate, fairly objective, view of the beliefs of Republicans and Democrats:

http://wise.fau.edu/~rpwatson/Just_Vote/just_vote_005.htm

These should be helpful to start with, Jon. If you have other questions, just ask.
