Question QUESTION: Hi Susie-I've been coming to camp on my lot in St.T for 25 yrs, and I got a puppy last yr., who came with me and loved Hull Bay, kayaking etc. We had a super time. But I have a friend coming to visit who would like to go to Virgin Gorda, but don't know how to go about finding someone trustworthy. Fiona is an affectionate, 11 lb. pekapoo who loves everyone. Any suggestions?Thanks! Judy
ANSWER: Hi Judy- There is only one person listed in the local yellow pages for pet sitting. It's "Paul's Pampered Pooches" and the # is 340-344-3399. I'm an animal owner too so I understand your concern. After you contact that #, let me know what he charges. Perhaps you may want to consider having me go over and walk, water, feed, etc.- Fiona twice a day, while you're in Virgin Gorda. I had been kncokng around the idea of starting a pet sitting biz myself. The tentative name is "Beastie Butlers." Ironic you should inquire about this! ;o) Let me know and best of luck to you. QUESTION: Hi again Susie-Thanks for the info. I wonder if that's the fellow I talked to in Havensight parking lot last year? He seemed nice and said he was a groomer. He had his fluff-pup w/ him, too. I'll call him, and then let u know his fee. But you are SO sweet to offer to come and take care of Fiona! (Beastie Butlers is a great name.)But u made me realize I need to ask about pet boarding, not sitting, as I am up on the mt. above Frenchman's Bay, and not only is it tough to find, but HOT midday, so I never leave her there-we're off the mt by 10 am and don't go back up till at least 3pm! Answer Hey Judy- Just wondered how you made out with Paul's Pampered Pooches. Was it the same guy you had met? Funny you should mention your lot is in Frenchman's Bay. I live in Frenchman's Bay too!
