U.S. Virgin Islands - Pet Sitter in St. John

Expert: Susie Rano - 10/26/2009

Question
Hi Susie,
My husband and I will be in St. John from December 19-December 26 with our little dog.  We need a pet sitter for a couple of days while we are out scuba diving.  Where can I find a reliable and loving pet sitter in St. John?

Also, is USVI generally friendly to dogs?  Would our fur-baby allow to come with us to restaurants with outdoor seatings?

Thank you.

Answer
Hi Lee-

I'm sorry, I don't know of any pet sitter services in St.John.  I would imagine there are some outdoor restaurants and some beaches that are pooch friendly, though.  I suggest you go to www.vimovingcenter.com.  They have a very active message board there and several of the people live on St.John.  You should pose your questions there; I'm sure someone in the St> John area should be able to help>  Good luck.
