I'm considering fulltime professional employment in USVI with an engineering company, but I know very little about USVI culture and standards of living. Can you tell me how to best investigate relocating to USVI, avoiding tourist traps, and getting the best value in housing and services? My wife and I are seasoned travelers throughout the U.S. and some foreign countries. We are both avid writers and enjoy the outdoors very much. The site offers a wealth of info for people who want to move here. Also, they have a very active message board so you can post questions such as rentals, cars, getting around, etc.
As for your pooch, I THINK you need to have him checked by your vet, 24-48 hours prior to arriving/leaving. I highly recommend you confirm this with your local vet.
