Question
Susie,

I am relocating St. Thomas (possibly St. Croix) in September of this year.  I am trying to find the best long term rental company on the island.  I will also be bringing my dog and cat with me and wanted to know if the islands require any quarantine time before the pets can be taken home.  Thank you so much for your assistance--definitely looking forward to the change of venue.

Hugh

Answer
Hi Hugh-  I'm not quite sure what you mean by "long-term rental company."  Do you mean a realtor that helps you find a long term lease apartment?  For your pets, you should contact your local vet.  I believe you need to have them checked by your vet 24-48 hours prior to leaving/arriving.

I'm not familiar with St.Croix since I live in St.Thomas.  I highly suggest you check out the website www.vimovingcenter.com.  They have a wealth of info for people wishing to relocate.  They also have a very active message board where you can post questions for locals that live on St.Croix, as well as St.Thomas.

I hope this helps.  Best of luck to you.

Take care-
Susie
