there was a time that I drank a lot.  my family suffered a lot because of me.  specially my brother.  one day after a night of craziness I slept the whole morning and part of the afternoon.. at about 2 pm I was about to wake up when suddenly I felt a tiny wind in my left ear and the faltering voice of my brother talking to me about my vices and asking me to stop.  I turned looking for my brother but i was alone in the room.  i keept hearing this voice very clearly for a minute or so.  i'm sure i wasn't asleep because i pinched myself pretty hard.  this frightened me for a long time.  you think we can communicate by spirit even if we are not dead?  i mean is it possible?  or it could be some other spirit that wanted to communicate with me and imitated the voice of my brother?

Speaking strictly from my own experiences, yes we can communicate by spirit with those who are alive--- and as well, those who communicate with us by spirit, alive or deceased, can have or seem to have the voices of those we previously recognize, whether they are that very person or not.

Generally, the voice you hear IS of the person's spirit you recognize it to be of. Nobody is going around deliberately pretending to trick you into thinking they are somebody else. Any member of your spiritual family may take the voice of somebody you know that you will listen to just in order to get your attention and keep you at ease while you listen to an important thing they have to say to you.

Alien people are not excluded from all of this if any are included in your personal spiritual circle of family and friends. You have many family members of your past and present lives, and the angels and even God him/herself close to you by spirit at all times.

Anyway, what does all that matter to you? You have had a profound spiritual experience focused and directed to you by the most important beings in all your spiritual existence, who love you and want to help and give you the support you need. They remind you of how important you are to all of them too, and let you know they are well aware of what you are going through, and that they are present for you. What does anything else about it matter?

You said "there was a time that..." so I hope this experience was a turning point for you, and that it helped put you back on track for your life and family. You are doing more things than you know, and you are a more important part of your family than you know.
