Yes it may be an interesting question, but I've always wondered... How does their skin feel? If you have felt their skin in any way. Is it smooth? Rough?

Hi, Kevin. Thank you for your question. I will tell you a few things.

Every race is different in many ways world to world. Of those whose skin my husband and I have felt, most feel as soft and smooth as ours. The differences in this aspect are more prevalent to us in the colors than the textures.

Although many races have skin some shade of gray, some have skin that is solid in one color, and some have multiple colors in a mix of patterns and shades. Most have smooth skin, and some have skin that looks and feels scaly.

The skin of many of the alien races we have met looks like porcelain, from pure white to dark gray, perfectly smooth and flawless- while some others have skin that looks very grainy and rough. Most feel cooler than we are to the touch, and some feel as warm as we are.

One race we know wears clothing over all of his skin but his face, that fits so close and smoothly that we did not notice that it was cloth, and assumed it was his skin, soft, smooth and warm like felt. The first time my husband touched one of these being's bare hands in a handshake, he was surprised to find them hard, strong, plum color and quite cool.

Another race we know, by body is not just soft but actually fluid, and flows to the touch without any transfer of liquid. Their skin is shiny silver in color, resembling mercury.

The races whose homes are stars have skin just as well, but consist primarily of light, so it's perhaps impossible for us to actually look right at their skin. However, in touching them, you will either pass right through OR will find their bodies just as solid and tangible as any person's, except with a strong electric current to it.

To be courteous and respectful, be sure to ask permission and telegraph intent before you try to put your hands on any alien person.
