The main representatives of the most highly intelligent, advanced and evolved races that visit Earth are my closest contacts, my teachers, and my lives long friends and colleagues.

If a human has alien contact, he is born with it as an opportunity due to a natural relationship from before his physical life. This human is called an alien experiencer whether he is aware of his alien contact or not. This human could get "in touch" with his own personal alien contacts. Right now, because of difficulties on our world, only humans who are naturally related can have personal alien contact, with very few rare exceptions.
For an alien experiencer to discover his opportunity and meet his alien contacts, all he has to do is ask. If and when it's part of his role to be aware, he will be made aware when it's his own time to be.
Most alien experiencers are physically unaware of their contact, but continue their roles and work with alien life by spirit. Most humans who discover their opportunity, refuse it. Many think they want it but then refuse to understand the truth about it, opting for the popularity of the UFO field instead. Few accept it truly on a physical level, work with alien life, and contribute to the vital work of many worlds between our worlds.
Discovery of the nature of spirit itself is the key to human understanding of alien contact. Discovery of spiritual nature is not all about alien life. The alien people are just more people, body and spirit, for us to discover.
