Question MY ENGINE MANAGEMENT LIGHT COMES ON. I RECENTLY CHANGED THE MASS AIR FLOW METER WHICH MADE THE LIGHT GO OFF FOR A WEEK AND THEN IT REAPPEARED NOW I DON'T NOW WHAT COULD BE CAUSING THE PROBLEM ANY IDEAS MUCH APPRECIATED.
Answer Hi Paul, the GSI is a V6 is it not? The usual suspects for an engine light on any vauxhall engine is a cam shaft position sensor or the EGR valve, have you checked these? Have you had a scan tool on the diagnostic port to tell you the problem as it could be anything form a crank sensor to a random mis-fire. If it is the cam sensor the car will usually not rev above 4500 rpm but this may not be the case on the 2.5 V6 GSI engine, let me know what the scan tool comes up with - Paul
