Question Dear Sir,
I am a Srilankan citizen living in Srilanka
My wife, who lives with me in Srilanka just obtained her UK Passport being someone born in the UK before 1983. I have been researching Internet sites and find that in order for her to sponsor me to live and work in the UK, she has to be “present and settled”, i.e. have a job and a place to live.
Since we are both living in Srilanka we have no place to live in the UK nor do we have any work.
Can you please tell me the options that are available to us? My final objective is to get my citizenship in the UK as well.

I'm sorry, but the subject matter of your question is a very complex legal area and is simply beyond my ken!
You need to speak to a specialist in that area - but beware being ripped off by one of the many sharks who prey on people, like your good self, who are keen to emigrate.
