Question My entry clearance came yesterday. Thank you so much for all your help and my husband said to send his thanks as well. You probably will not know this answer but I will give it a try - they kept our marriage & birth certificates and the deed letter to the house. Should this have come back as well? They sent the pictures and the such but those are still with them. Ok the entry clearance states wife (spouse) and does not state I am excluded from working. So I can work?
Answer
They should have returned all original documents to you. I would ask for them as soon as possible. Your spouse and you will always need your birth certs say to renew passports etc.
Yes you can work from day one in the country.
Exactly a year and a day after you arrive you can apply for indefinite leave to remain here.
Well done
