Question -
why is electronic surveillance inadmissable as evidence in the uk?
Answer -
Sorry for the delay - mail server problems!

What makes you think that surveillance evidence is inadmissable (in Scotland) ?

This answer is not incredibly helpful. Clearly I was not aware that electronic surveillance was admissable as evidence in Scotland. The logical extension to this then is 'why is electronic surveillance ever inadmissable as evidence. Whether it be england, ireland or anywhere else?'

Answer
Sorry, but please note that my details clearly show that I only deal with Scottish criminal law, hence my answer.

To play devil's advocate, why shouldn't electronic surveillance, properly authorised - ie under RIP(S)A - be admissable?
