Experience I have worked in a tourist lodge near to Fort Portal and have travelled extensively throughout the country visiting the majority of National Parks and Game Reserves.
Question I have established a school partnership with the Ssese islands in Lake Victoria. This is in its early days and replaces a link we had with a school near Nkokonjeru, where the link died out because staff at the Ugandan school were decimated by AIDS.
I would like to start teaching my kids here in the UK about the islands but can find no detailed information , especially maps. We can eventually get information back from our contacts there but this will take a great deal of time because they are so remote. Is there anywhere I can get details, especially maps ?

I dont really know to be honest but you could get hold of this company in Uganda http://www.macmillan-africa.com/Contacts/uganda.htm who distribute educational books. They also have maps, I have their uganda map and it shows some of the islands.
