Question I have a Pint Mug very old from what i know of it it dates around first world war it has the makers stamp of W R LOFTUS 146 oxford street i have some photos if you would like to see them
Answer -
Thanks for the enquiry. Your mug is quite a bit earlier than the First World War, dating around 1880, but that is not especially old for antique pewter. Loftus was one of the most prolific manufacturers of pewter pub wares in London, and the firm existed from about 1859 until 1960. The 1880 date is derived from the address, which was used around 1870-82.
Fairly common, and the market for this type of thing is very poor at present, so, if in excellent condition, the value will be only 10-20 pounds. Any condition problems will significantly affect value.
