I have a good friend who lives in Ukraine, city Kiev and i want to visit, what kind of process, and documents will i need.

Answer
If you are an American citizen, you simply need to have your passport.  Upon arrival in Kyiv you will be given a free 90 day entry stamp.  If you wish to stay longer, you can just overstay your entry and pay a fine when you leave (the fine can be no more than $120 by law).
