Subject: American-Dual Citizenship

Question
I'm a citizen of the USA and the granddaughter to Ukrainian immigrants; immigrated in the 1910's to the USA and deceased in the 1950's.  Is it possible for me to receive Ukrainian Citizenship and American Citizenship at the same time?

Answer
I am not very knowledgeable in this field, but from what I understand it is possible to hold passports from both countries.  America will not recognize your Ukrainian passport, but I think Ukraine will recognize both your American and Ukrainian ones.  Your best bet is to contact the Ukrainian Embassy in Washington D.C. regarding their policies and the Department of State regarding America's.  Good luck!
