Experience I am a Peace Corps Volunteer currently living in Ukraine
My company is sending me onsite to Nadra Bank, Ukraine. I am a pure vegetarian guy. I want to know if I can get veg food in restaurants and at what price. Also, please tell if I can get rice, wheat, vegetables in raw form outside so that I can cook the food at my home. Please reply soon.
Thanks.

Answer On the whole, Ukraine is not a vegetarian country and you will find yourself limited in your options. That said, I know vegetarian Peace Corps volunteers that maintained this during two years of service, even living in villages. Restaurants generally won't offer vegetarian meals per say, but you can order various dishes without meat. Rice, wheat and vegetables are all readily available in Ukraine, although vegetables are more expensive out of season. In season, though, your access to fresh vegetables is arguably better than in most western countries. Enjoy Ukraine!
