Subject: Visits to Odessa and Yalta

Question
We will be on a cruise in October which makes one-day visits to both Odessa and Yalta. We'd appreicate any advice on getting the most out of our short visits. Besides exploring each city, would it be practical to venture out of town a little to see other sights? What would be the best way to do that -- taxi, other driver, etc.?

Answer
Fred
Sorry to say but one day is not enough to go to such a places. It depends on what your interests are museums, beach, architecture and monuments. Make syre you see Opera Theater, If you like beer go to "Gambrinus", and visit Derebasovska street, it's very famous. Odessa is an old city vith history, culture etc.
Yalta is more "going out, have fun" type thing
