Experience I am a Peace Corps Volunteer currently living in Ukraine
I have been speaking to a girl called Natalia Tyuhtiy, now all of a sudden I have been asked to pay for the translation of her letters. I suspect this is just a swindle and told them so. They have shown a photo of her passport. I know there could well be legal ramifications about such information, all I ask, does Ukrainian passport number EM225592 belong to Natalia Tyuhtiy.
Thank you for your time and patience in this matter.

Answer I do not have access to that information. Likely the passport is not fake, but whether the person you are talking to is this Natalia or whether it is but she is doing it only for money are other questions you should consider.
There are a number of legitimate and illegitimate dating services in Ukraine for Western men and all of them have to make their money somehow. If you feel you are being scammed, have her mail you letters in Russian and then do an online translation with babelfish (http://babelfish.altavista.com). If she balks, that might clue you in to her motives.
