Sir, i would like to know whether the yellow colour of membrance (jhilli) that is found in the sangdana of a cock and or hen can be eaten or not, and if it can be consumed will it be help for digestive problems as well as the healing of the lining and wall of the stomach that has been damaged by the use of blood thinners such as aspirin and so many other medication, what else can you prescribe for the cure of the above problem beside the SANGADA MEMBRANCE (SANGDANEY KI JHILLI) please reply and oblige.

Hello Mr Hamid Ali khan,
In unani system of medicine lot of research has been done in stomach ailments and medicines of plant , animal & mineral origin has been used to treat these ailments successfully. Sangdana-e- murag, is one of the best medicine in stomach ailments. The internal lining of the alimentary tract has medicinal value hence this part is used in treatment of peptic ulcer apart from other jawarish. The compoud drug which is very much popular is Majun-e-sangdana-e-murag of Hamdard company. Apart from this there are lot of Jawarish which are useful in stomach ailments like hyperacidity, flatulance (gases), constipation,peptic ulcers etc etc.
One of the medicine of plant origin which is researchly proving to be very much affective in ulceration is Rub us soos (Glycciriza Glabra). I have personally noted in many patients very good results after using this root in powdered form.
