Subject: ac adapter

Question
Hi Brian :)
I have broken cables in my ac adapter for my laptop causing it to charge intermittently. The problem lies along the cable near the inline plastic bulb that you see on cables nowadays. It is integral with the cable, as I know some of them clip onto it. My question is, what is the bulb for and can the adapter still work without it?If it can I will be confident enough to rewire the adapter. I hope this is clear enough lol, thanks Brian.

Answer
Hi Andy

I'm not exactly sure which part you are referring to.  If you can send a link to a general picture, or send a photo to me directly at numbersix6@yahoo.com, I'll try to locate the information you need.  Also, the make and model of the laptop would help as well.

Brian
