I am having trouble with my CD RW. My computer HELP doesn't do the job. I am using a locally built computer with XP. There is a CD slot (drive D) and a CD burner (drive E). I'll have some info on the CD and add more info and try to Save it(not Save As). Then I clear the screen and open the CD tray in order to start over with the CD RW program. When I open up MY Computer/drive D or E, the added info is not there. It hasn't been saved. Most frustrating.
Do you have any suggestions? Can you give me the procedure for adding and deleting info with the CD RW?
Answer Hi Bob,
After further investigation I came to the following conclusion;
Packet writing software for XP is provided by something called InCd which comes with Nero. It allows for treating a cd rw like a floppy. However, there are horror reports all over the net about it.
Therefore, I believe your only solution is to use regular cd burning software and burn it as if it were a cd-r or cd+r disk. With Cd-rw you should be able to reformat it and use it again. However, unless you burn it, the other drive won't see your data.
If you have data that you have already written and can't find and you need to get it, a program called IsoBuster can get it back for you.
Hope this helps,
David
