Question I have Windows XP. When I move the cursor over a file, it opens that file automatically. I would like to change the
setting, so that I have to actually click on anything I want opened. Help, please.
Answer Hey Mana,
Thanks for asking.
If you're using a laptop with a touchpad, lowering the sensitivity could help. Try going to the Start button, then Control Panel, then looking for a "Mouse" or "Touchpad" option. If there's only a Mouse option, look for a Touchpad tab or option within Mouse. Next, look for a selection that will allow you to turn down the sensitivity, that way, when you mouse over something, it won't think you're trying to open and/or select it instead. Also, if the ClickLock is activated as well, this would further exaggerate the problem.
The solution above I gave might be a long-shot. Let me know if it works or not (if not, I'll keep searching).
