Question I recently purchased a new computer, a gateway, and remembered the good old days with my old gateway (windows 98 days). I remember it had "Gateway GoBack", a security feature.
When I bought my next computer, which wasn't a Gateway (2004ish), one of the features at the top of my list of things I missed was Gateway go back. System restore can't hold a candle to Gateway Go Back.... not even a match.
I was recently trying to figure out if the new computer I bought, which has Windows Vista Premium, would have Gateway Go Back... But couldn't find much after typing different variations of "Gateway GoBack" into google.
I noticed that you had a post up, somewhat involved in Gateway go Back, which was actually a semi recent post (2008). My question is: Is Gateway Go Back a thing of the past? Or do Gateway computers still have this nifty feature?
Answer I did have a post a few months back. Unfortunately I am not really a gateway guy so I took the liberty of emailing gateway. They said that the feature was stopped early in the Windows xp era...basically because Windows has a built in feature. Now whether its as good as Gateway's was I dont know I did email them back and told them about all experts and the questions I've had recently about it...So maybe somewhere in the future it will pop back up again :)
