Question
Not sure if this is the right area to ask this question, but when I try to open any image in my pictures or from an email, it's taking an un-usually long amount of time to open? I've tried every remedy I know, still slooow. No one else on our small network here is experiencing the same problem? Any advice is appreciated.

Answer
Hello Dan,

Thanks for asking.

Unfortunately, I have been ill recently, which caused this delayed response.  However, doctors say I should gain my strength and things like this will help me to improve.

So, on with the show:

The problem with slow image loading times may be related to a limited amount of space available in your temporary files folder.  I've experienced both Outlook and Internet Explorer (and other web browsers) having this issue.

If you have not done so already, try deleting the temporary file (or cache file) folder in your web browser (i.e. Internet Explorer, Netscape, etc.).  I know this sounds strange because you mentioned email.  However, most Windows computers are setup to dump all the picture files pulled up in email in the same folder as pictures that download every time you open a webpage.

View the following link, as well, for more info about deleting temporary internet files:

I hope this helps.

Keep me posted.
