Question
Suddenly, my laptop started writing 4 when I hit the U key, 5 for I, 6 for O, 1 for J, etc. I must have hit some key/key combination unknowingly, but I cannot get it back to normal now. Help, pls. Thanks!

Answer
Yes you did you turned on the number lock....to get it to go back to normal you should see a key that says Fn and another key with grey or blue print that says num or numlock hold the Fn key and hot the numberlock key and you should be good to go. Oh by the way its also possible you plugged in a seperate number keypad to a usb port this will also cause the numbers to go to numberlock
