Question
hi brian
windows media player no longer auto starts when i insert a cd or plug my phone in to download my pics. It used to auto detect a device and give me the option to choose what i would like to do, ie burn a disc, play a cd, download pics from a portabl devise.
regards chris

Answer
Hi Christine

Double click on My Computer.  Right click your CD drive, and click on Properties.  Go to the Auto Play tab and click Select and action to Perform. Here is where you Will pick the program to play your CD (the default for music is usually Media Player, but you can pick another if you want).  Now click Apply, and OK. Restart your computer and the next time you insert a CD in the player, it should play automatically.

Brian
