Question Hi, im not real sure what happen, but...Our power went off and when it came back on and i turned the computer on, it made a funny buzzing noise and the monitor or nothing would come on. If i push a button it says it is in power save mode or something like that and it says push a button or wiggle the mouse, i do but nothing happens just that funny buzzin noise. I tried unplugging it and it still does the same thing. Oh god that is my baby. What do you think happen and how can i get it out of power save mode? It is a Dell Dimension 4700 and it has windows xp. Thank you, Kathy.
Answer It sounds to me like a video card may be bad....possibly a power supply. Check all your connections make sure they are tight....open up the PC and take the ram out and reseat it. If none of this works my best guess would be you need either a new power supply or video card....but by all means take it to a local expert for a good look over.
