Question
I have an v. 8 of WordPefect on my desktop. I know how to use QuickWords. However, on my new laptop, with WordPerfect v. 13, there is no choice for QuickWords under Tools, even though the help menu says that is where it is supposed to be. Whassup?

Answer
Hi Charles,

I apologize for the delay.  Things are now better on my end, now for your answering your question:

I did some research on their knowledgebase website (http://support.corel.com/).  So, I'm figuring that the best answer I can give you is to try the following search mechanism:

* Go to http://support.corel.com
* Under "Products and Service", select "WordPerfect Office" for "All Product".
* Select "WordPerfect X3" for "All Sub-Products"
* Type "Quickwords" in the "Search Text (Optional)" field.
* Click the "Search" button.

The option that first caught my eye was the one about Quickwords not working in a merge document.  However, if this is not the case or if your Quickwords is totally missing, then you may want to follow the instructions for reinstalling or repairing WordPerfect X3.  To do this, type "reinstall" in the "Search Text (Optional)" field, then push the "Search" button.  Choose the option "How do I restore Wordperfect® to its factory defaults?"

I admittedly know very little about Corel WordPerfect... I have not used it in many years (last time I clearly remember was 1994).  However, I think some of these steps I provided are applicable across multiple word processing software .

Keep me posted.

Shän
