Subject: hard drive
Question i was trying to install a floppy disc drive but that wasn t working very well so i abandonned that project. Here's my problem...when i restarted my computer (windows xp home edition) it wouldn t go into windows so i went into bios and there it said that hard drive was not installed...i tried reconnecting everything but to no avail..any
Answer This is very hard to say without seeing.
Is the cable or wire hooked up? IDE or SATA?
Is the bio set up for auto detect?
Is the power hooked up to the hard drive?
A floppy drive takes a floppy cable not a hard drive cable.
