Subject: screen resolution Windows XP

Question
I have a Dell Lattitude C400 laptop with Windows XP, but as the screen resolution was not good (600 something *...) I looked in the help section how to change to 800 something * ... I managed to do this and the screen looked reasonable although it had some dots. Then at restart the computer shows WIndows XP and afterwards just a black screen. Now I have no idea how to get back to a visible screen solution.

Can you please help me.

Answer
To change , screen resolution,

go to control panel

click on display

You should see a display properties screen,

click on the setting tab in the display properties.

change the resolution.

After you pick the resolution you want, click on apply then ok.

John
