Question We've recently gone from a big computer to a laptop and I am going around the twist trying to type on the silly thing. The mouse is in the centre of the lower part of the keyboard area and as I type I must be touching it (barely) or something because I can be typing away and suddenly the curser has moved halfway up the page and I continually have to go back and delete sentences, it's driving me MAD!!!! is there some way of turning it off or something for when I need to type because as it is I can't do emails or messenger without looking like i'm dyslexic!
We are using windows XP.
Answer Most have a scroll on the side of the pad I would imagine your finger is slightly touching it causing the pointer to move. To disable it go to control panel and it should be under pointing device or mouse and disable the tap to click (optional) and also the ability to scroll with the pad.
