Question
I was wondering if you could answer a question about a book I own called "Basset's Answer to Unitarians" dated 1692. I just wonder if it has any value and if it a Bible of some type or if you know of anyone interested in this type of book about Unitarians History.
Thank you,
Angela

Hello Angela -

I have searched the Unitarian Universalist Association website, along with GOOGLE, and a rare book site named ABEBOOKS.COM.

There is no record of "Basset's Answer to Unitarians" dated 1692.  I suspect that the book is a rebuttal argument to the Unitarians belief in the unity of God, but not in the dogma of the Trinity.

The only other "bible of some type" that I'm aware of is "The Jefferson Bible" put together by Thomas Jefferson.  Thomas Jefferson, the father of American democracy, selected the words of Jesus - and Jesus alone - from the Bible for his own use.

As far as knowing of anyone interested in this type of book about Unitarian History, I'd list it on EBAY and see if there is any interest.

Thank you for submitting a question and I wish you good luck in finding an answer.
