Question I am currently in my Junior year of high school and was wondering about some the specifics of the admissions process. Should I go to my congressman as well as both senators for my nomination? When should I contact my congressmen/senators about a nomination? Also, if I plan on applying to the Air Force Academy as well do I need to do something separate in regard to the congressman?
Thank you. Any info is helpful.
Answer Tommy,
You ask some good questions. It's never to early to start looking at admission to USNA. I would suggest that you contact all of your Senators/Congressmen. You don't want to put all your eggs in one basket. It's better to make sure you have more opportunities to get that nomination.
As for applying to USAFA and USNA, I am not sure. I would call the admissions office of USAFA and ask about that. I only know about applying to once service academy. Their admissions processes are very similar, but I don't know if the nomination carries over. Again, if you call the USAFA admissions office, they can answer that for you.
