Question im in the civil air patrol and my dad is an officer in the army, will these things
help me get into this school?
Answer Daniel,
I think that being in the civil air patrol and being the son of an army officer are great items to have in your application. I don't know if they will necessarily help you or not. I know they won't hurt your chances of gaining an appointment.
The academies all are looking for future leaders. They want people who they can transform into military officers to lead the nation into the future. Civil Air Patrol is an organization that is favorable for helping develop these future leaders. I would say you are on the right track.
However, I am not on the admissions board. The entire process is rather secretive. Just keep up your grades and look for leadership opportunities.
