Question
Dear Alan,  My son Jason is a Junior at San Mateo High.  He has a B average and average SATs.  He has a documented learning disability and will be taking the SAT I untimed in June but his PSAT which were timed without accomodation were average.  He is very interested in Film Arts and has done several film projects for school reports that are very creative and humorous.  Are there any special LD slots for admissions?  How can I maximize his chances to get in.  I will be arranging tutoring for the SAT IIs in October.  Is this hopeless or a realistic reach?

Answer
Admission to the the school of Theater, Film & TV is by audition and I suggest you contactr the school directly.
