Subject: Huntsman Program

Question
Does Huntsman/Upenn scout national competitions in various fields (language, business, etc...) for potential students? In other words, must you have such a high level of recognition to be noticed and/or accepted?

Answer
Hello!

Simple answer, no. The number of applications the Huntsman program receives far exceeds the number of spots, hence there's no need for our admissions officers to scour the world looking for talent. Additionally, its not a fair process to recognize certain competitions. Of course it helps if you can mention in your application that you've achieved some sort of recognition in what you've set yourself to doing, but again, it's all part of an overall strong application.

I hope this helps!

Adarsh
