About Kat
Expertise
I can help with anything from freshman/transfer admissions to financial aid, from coursework to campus life. I'm extremely familiar with the College of Liberal Arts, but I know a fair share about other colleges as well.

Experience
I'm a senior with a double major in English and Government, and I'm also completing the Liberal Arts Honors program.

Question
How do the undergraduate experiences compare at the two schools? I would be especially interested in the perspective of those who have been in both cultures.

Answer

Well, I may not be able to completely answer this question since I am not at all familiar with Texas A&M. There's actually a pretty big rivalry between the two school so I'm afraid most of my knowledge is based on stereotypes we make up for football games!

That said, I think UT undergraduates generally have a much more mind-opening experience than undergrads at A&M. Austin is MUCH bigger than college station, and while A&M attracts many international students  I think UT probably has a lot more cultural-sharing and multi-cultural celebration than at A&M.

Probably the best way to get a sense for this is to just visit the campuses, if possible. The minute I set foot on the UT campus I realized that I couldn't ask for a better environment for my personal interests and needs.
