Question
How can I configure https for apache in Red hat Linux 5 version?

Answer
Hi.

First of all, you need a certificate for your service. Then you should place it in a common location.

I don't have the RHEL in front of me, so snoop around. Generally, you would put it in /etc/apache2/ssl.crt and use GUI tools to enable HTTPS. Or just uncomment some section in one of config files. On OpenSUSE, it would be in /etc/sysconfig/apache2.* But on OpenSUSE, I would definitely use YAST2 to configure everything. Look up a similar administration tool on RHEL.

Nix.
