Question
I was wondering if you can guide me through the steps of installing glibc package on RHEL5 ...... I'm  using called VCS and it can' run since stdio.h library is missing .....

Thank you very much

Answer
Are you certain all you need to do is "install" it?  (As opposed to downloading source and compiling the binary before installing it).  How'd you get to the point of installing VCS without it?

An example using yum:
yum install <package name>

An example using rpm:
rpm -i <package name>

The package name needs to be exact.  If the package is installed (but broken) it will appear in the list of installed packages.  Otherwise you'll need to get it from the list of available packages.

To search using yum:
yum search <string>
