Dear Nix,
Can you tell me what's the differences, advantages, disadvantages, and the minimum skill to modify the code of Linux and Unix. Where can I find the source code. I am not from programming field. TQ.

Differences?

Advantage - you can make your own changes/features.
Disadvantage - YOU will have to make them.
Minimum skill - anything that "cuts it". The skill level will be proportional to the quality of your code. In other words, if you're a "programming kid", "kids, don't try this at home".

Source code for what? Kernel, Servers, clients, applications...?

If you're not from programming field, stay away from programming. Honestly, you'll do more damage to yourself and others, without benefitting at all. If you wish to *learn* programming, take a course. Don't try on your own. You'll be wasting your time. Todays programs are far too complex to manage on your own, even if you're an experienced programmer.
