Subject: Treatment of both multiple ston plus left ureter ston
Question Salaam professor,
My brother son had both kidney stons plus left ureter ston. After operation and litiotherapsy ,his ureter ston removed and both kidney stons also treat .
Now after one year again he find both multiple kidney ston plus left upper ureter ston( 12 mm).we don't want operation again. please inform me for best treatment. Mean while, give me good urology professor address in new Delhi.
Note: All above treatment were done in Afghanistan.
Thanks
Answer Qahir:
Unfortunately, it sounds like more operations will be necessary. A stone that is 12 mm is not likely to pass by itself and will only grow and cause more pain and trouble if left alone.
Somebody needs to investigate why your nephew is making stones. This usually requires a 24 hour urine test to determine which chemicals in the urine are too high or too low. Then these can be corrected.
I live in Ohio and I don't personally know any physicians or urologists in New Delhi. However, there is an endourology training program listed in the Endourological society listings so I would start there. Dr. Narmada Gupta at the All India Institute of Medicine New Delhi 110 029, 11-2659 4884. I hope this helps.
