Subject: URINARY PROBLEM
Question DR.LESLIE I AM A 48 YEAR OLD MALE. WHEN I FEEL THE URGE TO
URINATE IT TAKES 1 TO 20 MINUTES, I HAVE TO CONCENTRATE ON WHAT I AM DOING, ALSO HAVE LOTS OF PAIN IN THE BLADDER
SOMETIMES. MY PROSTATE HAS BEEN CHECKED & IS GOOD.
Answer David:
Actually, you didn't ask a question but I assume you want some advice.
First, don't use all capital letters in your email. It's the equivalent of shouting and considered poor internet etiquette.
The delay in urination could be due to several things, but a prostate problem or a bladder issue would be the most likely causes. Just because you state your prostate has been "checked" doesn't mean anything. It depends on who did the checking and how they examined the prostate.
A urologist would be better able to fully investigate this problem for you and I suggest you consult one.
