Question I'm 31 years old and for the past month I've been experiencing very sharp pains in my groin area and also my lower back some of my fellow employees have said that this sounds like hernia. I'm not sure and don't want to strain my self can you tell me what this might be?

A hernia is the most likely diagnosis, but a kidney stone or groin pull can cause very similar pain. You'll need to consult a physician. You can start with your family physician or go directly to a general surgeon for a definitive opinion about the hernia.
